There are brands that I see everywhere with amazing design packaging, but what really captures my attention is their story.

Tulura is what came about from co-founder Eileen Feighny della Faille’s own skin problems, working as a model for many years trying to cover up her skin problems with makeup, instead of treating it. After five years, she has put an incredible amount of research and thought behind Tulura products with naturally sourced, high quality ingredients. All of their products are filler-free, fragrance-free and cruelty-free.

They have developed this brand new oil cleanser, with acne and sensitive skin folks in mind. It clears up makeup residue. Best of all, doesn’t matter if you’re struggling with acne or simply wanting to easily remove makeup, it’s suitable for all skin types!

If you’re still skeptic about oil on your skin, remember oil clings on to oil. Using an oil cleanser, or “double cleansing” is the best way to deeply cleanse your pores, than any other type of cleansers. So after using this cleanser, Eileen recommends simply washing away with cold water, and the cleanser will melt away like any other cleanser. The oils will not hang on to your skin, so it’s super easy to use.

So let’s talk ingredients. The cleanser has been formulated with salicylic acid (BHA) which is great for treating breakouts, and giving you a nice exfoliation to brand new evenly pigmented skin cells. It has tea tree oil, mainly used for its antimicrobial and properties. Also hemp seed oil, which is deeply hydrating and anti-aging. But it also has some ingredients that are very unique in cleansers, so let’s talk about those:

Rice Bran Oil – Helps to brighten skin (pigmentation), contains squalane, is deeply moisturizing and anti-aging.

Matricaria Flower Extract – Relieves inflammatory skin, is antioxidant, anti-bacterial and helps to calm sensitive skin.

Macademia Seed Oil – Softens skin texture, it’s antioxidant, anti-aging and multi-mineral. It also contains oleic acid (omega 9), which helps to regenerate skin cells, and slightly creates a barrier against sunlight (still wear your sunscreen though!)

This has been the first Tulura product I’ve used, however I’ve read so many great things about all of their products, so I knew this will not disappoint. After using this for the first time, my skin loved it. It was so easy to use and rinse off. Definitely will keep this in my regimen!
